WHAT WE REQUIRE

1) A minimum of 6m x 3m space for a bar set up, as well as power to run two fridges, a freezer and a minimum of one keg machine.

2) A marquee style layout drawing of venue (and where the bar will be located) for licensing - venues will have these already.

3) Sufficient access to venue prior to the start of the event to provide and assemble the required goods and equipment, and sufficient enough time between the closing of the bar and having to vacate the venue to enable all goods and equipment to be dismantled, removed, and loaded into waiting vehicle's.

4) If your event or wedding has on-site catering for guests, we request the client provides, at their own cost, a main meal for all Cocktail Den staff working for more than 8 hours.

 

ALCOHOL

The Cocktail Den will be the sole provider of all beverages at the event unless previously agreed. It will not be permitted for anyone to consume their own drinks at the event. The Cocktail Den retain exclusive rights to the supply of alcohol at your event. Please discourage your guests from bringing their own. Please also notify us of any complimentary drinks such as reception or table drinks to avoid excessive consumption that may harm bar sales and encourage binge drinking. The Cocktail Den reserve the right to confiscate any contraband and/or  alcohol.

 

LICENSE APPLICATION

With regards to unlicensed venues, The Cocktail Den will apply for, and hold, the alcohol license for the event. At all times, there will be a personal license holder on the premises. The small cost of this is included in the quote. We require a minimum of six weeks to apply for an alcohol license.

WASTE & RECYCLING

Where a venue does not provide rubbish disposal facilities, The Cocktail Den regret that it can only remove rubbish that is generated and collected behind the bar, and does not include items (such as beer bottles) that have gone across the bar. Glass collection can only be carried out when service at the bar allows. If service at the bar is busy, the serving of guests and running the bar takes priority. Staff do not clear rubbish, empty beer bottles etc. Staff clear andcollect glassware only. If bins are required to be hired from the Council, then this cost will be invoiced to the client. The Cocktail Den practicesenvironmental and social responsibilty, recycling all glass, aluminium, and cardboard/paper where possible, strictly recycled or compostableconsumables, such as serve ware and straws. We do not use plastic stirrers or napkins for drinks service.

BAR SALES

The Cocktail Den accepts cash and most major credit and debit cards however, being a mobile bar, we require a strong internet signal to take card payments. If this is not available, cards cannot be used. Please ensure that your guests are aware of this so that they can have plenty of cash for the duration of the event. We do not offer credit for guests, and will not run a private tab.All our spirit measures are 25ml, unless stated otherwise. Our bar prices include both spirit and standard mixer, however there may be a surcharge for higher priced premium mixers such as energy drinks. The bar pricing is flexible, to take into account current tax levels and supplier wholesale prices which may fluctuate throughout the year. We will try our utmost to ensure our bar prices are competitive. All our bartenders are experienced and trained. As required by the Licensing Act (Scotland) 2005, our bartenders have recieved a minimum of two hours training on the regulations and laws.The Cocktail Den operate a strict “Challenge 25” policy to avoid sales ofalcohol to underage persons. Please advise your younger guests of legaldrinking age (18+) that they may be required to show proof of age at the bar (passport of UK driving license only). For young persons aged 16 or 17, the law allows for a glass of wine, beer, cider, or perry only with a meal. Please seek prior permission and guidance from The Cocktail Den or the license holder before allowing

FEE & CANCELLATION POLICY

Our quote includes pre-event planning, menu customisation, bartenders, ice/refrigeration, licensing, and the hire and set-up of our mobile bars. Surcharges may include menu design and print, premium portable bars, and anyoutsourced services.Once you have decided on a bar package, a £100 booking fee is required to secure the date. The remaining balance (including any pre-paid drinks) is due 30 days prior to the booking date. The £100 booking deposit is non-refundable but can be moved to a new date, subject to availability. Minimum spend is set at £1000 for all events unless otherwise agreed. If this spend has not been reached during the working hours of the bar, then you will be issued with an invoice post event. By continuing with the booking, you are agreeing to these terms.Our quotes are based on the number of guests specified on the booking form. Should there be significant change to the numbers attending or opening hours, either more or less, it is a condition of the booking that you inform us within 14 days.

 

DAMAGES

The Cocktail Den takes all reasonable care when setting up the bar, however, we cannot be held responsible for the following:- Scratches on the venue floor- Drink spillages during service or by guests- Any damage caused by guestsIf your event is in a marquee, you should ensure that the floor is protected against dirt whilst contractors are setting up. We cannot unload a lorry full of equipment into a marquee with a cream carpet without the carpet getting dirty, so please ensure that the area where all the equipment is brought in, as well as the bar area for the set-up is covered!

Where the venue requires the floor to be protected underneath the bar, it is the client’s responsibilty to ensure that the floor is covered prior to our arrival for set-up. All clients are reminded that they are responsible for their guests actions. Where a guest damages The Cocktail Den’s property, the client will be held responsible for the cost of fixing or replacing the item, as the manufacturer sees fit. Where damage to The Cocktail Den’s property exceeds the costs of the deposit, a bill for the remaining amount will be presented to the client and payment will be due within 30 days.
